Shutterbug Onesies
Because the captain is an avid photographer, I decided to make a onesie that looks like the baby is wearing a camera. Actually I made two since I wanted one as a baby shower gift. I think they came out really well, I used a paper piecing from scrapbooks etc as the base Pattern. The ladies at the shower loved it, they even passed it around the room :)

35/35/35
Today marks 35 weeks pregnant, 35 days left and I'm 35, so it's a monumental day for progress. I can't believe there are only 35 days left! I am not sure if that's too much time to wait for this little one, or not enough time to prepare!

Laptop case
I decided it was finally upgrade my laptop case from an old pillowcase to something a bit more stylish. I have this bad habit of buying something for a project then never completing it, for example this cupcake fabric was a second fabric I bought because I couldn't decide in the store, which fabric to get to make an apron. It took a lot of soul searching to be able to use it for a different purpose :-p
I'm really thrilled with it and just need to decide on the closures, I'm thinking two loops and buttons.

A closer look at my machine quilting, it was great practice to try tracing all the shapes and I think out looks more doodly now.

Not so baby hat
I started this at the pj crop and finished it during the week. It seems to have grown and grown due to the stitches being hard to see. I'm not a fan of crocheting with fuzzy yarn but I love the final effect!

I had trouble understanding how it was built so I used the rough measurements to make my own pattern and I also used her adorable face idea. Here's my version of the pattern
Red Heart Super Saver in white and black
2 9MM safety eyes
pink and black embroidery floss
D3 Crochet Hook
Rice
R1: Sc 2, sc 9 in second chain from hook, 2 sc in each sc (18)
R2: *sc 2, 2 sc in next sc* repeat 6 times (24)
R3: *sc 3, 2 sc in next sc* repeat 6 times (30)
R4-7: sc 30
R8: *sc 2 tog, sc in next 13 scs]* repeat 2 times (28)
R9: *sc 2 tog, sc in next 12 scs]* repeat 2 times (26)
R10: *sc 2 tog, sc in next 11 scs]* repeat 2 times (24)
R11: *sc 2 tog, sc in next 10scs]* repeat 2 times (22)
R12: *sc 2 tog, sc in next 19scs]* repeat 2 times (20)
Put in Safety eyes, embroider mouth, eyelashes and put in bow
Stuff firmly
R13: *sc 2 tog* repeat 5 times (10)
R14: *sc 2 tog* repeat until you have no loops to sc 2 tog, Bind off and weave in tail
Seaweed
R1: Chain 13, in 2nd sc from hook start sc 12
R2-6: Ch 1 turn Sc 12
Bind off, leave long tail for sewing to rice.

Narwhal Amigurumi

Need 2 9mm solid black snap on doll eyes
G6 (or your favorite crochet hook)
Red Heart Super Saver yarn in royal blue and white.
start with Body, Arms and tail in Red Heart Royal Blue
R1- Ch 2, 6 sc in second chain from hook
R2- 2 sc in each sc around (12 sts)
R3- *Sc 1, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (18 sts)
R4- *Sc 2, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (24 sts)
R5- *Sc 3, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (30 sts)
R6- *Sc 4, 2 sc in next sc*, repeat 6 times (36 sts)
R7-R18 - Sc 36
Add Eyes and Embroider on mouth, can begin stuffing or wait until around R24 to start stuffing.

Bind off weave in tail.
The Arms and the tail pieces are the same, but one is connected at the rounded part (beginning)
and one is connected at the pointy part (the end).
For the tail leave a long tail before the slipknot so you can use that for sewing the rounded
portion to the body
