Queen of Sweets!

What can I say, I was so exhausted from the crop, and then uploading my photos and being sick that it's taken me a while to put up a post, but I had a blast at the Royal Slumber Crop! Not only was it super fun, I won (drumroll please) Queen of Sweets...and no, it's not just some title...it comes with a TIARA...and a perfect little pillow and a bunch of other little adorable goodies like a queen of sweets plaque. I was so stoked! It took me 3 days to make these little cupcakes but it was soooo worth it! A special thank you to Bakerella for the inspiration!

Don't these look delicious! I made them with Red Velvet cake, which was hard to find as a mix, but as my lovely b/f pointed out, you can use german cake mix and red dye...what I didn't know was that it was going to take 2 bottles (I only used one, but was horrified that it took that much!).

I had so much fun, 4 classes, silent auctions, meeting new people, raffles, playing games, you name it, it was all there! I also made like....6 pages! lol but I did finish 2 of the 4 projects back at my table so it was all good!

Here's a link to my full album:

I can't wait for the next event!

Lol, I want to try those too but since they are little faces I thought I'd try something that doesn't have to be so perfect first. I also don't have any idea of where to get an americolor marker that is food safe.

Thanks Adeli! I brought the tiara and pillow to work and they're sitting on a shelf for all to see. I'm pretty certain that some people might think a 15 year old works in my office now but it's great! :)
