Here's a photo of the cake I made for J's birthday. I was imagining a cake, one I "invented", a rich chocolate cake with a raspberry filling, and a shiny chocolate ganache finish, dotted with raspberries. As I was about to leave for the day I went into my coworker's office and realized that he had a photo of that very cake on a poster for a game called Portal. He said that the cake was a lie. I decided to add some whipped cream under the raspberries and made the filling with a combo of whipped cream and raspberry jam. Delicious!

PS I finished my 100 cards for troops, it took all weekend but it was totally worth it. Somehow I lost the photos, but my favorite was one with a frog on it that said "Joy to you and Me"

Yes, that was a fun time camping! We were planning on going again, but Jon hurt his wrists so we decided not to go camping this fall...maybe next year!
